It's been quite a journey for Matt Gage since we last followed him Down on the Farm in 2018. Many organizations, many levels, Mexican League. And it's not because he hasn't pitched well when given an opportunity. In a total of 24 MLB appearances his composite line is 2-1, 1.62, 33.1 IP, 11 BB, 23 K. He's 32 years old now and guess who can use some lefthanded pitching depth? Welcome back, Matt Gage! BTW, Sergio Alcantara IF was selected by the Giants and added to the 40 man roster. Daniel Johnson OF was optioned to AAA Sacramento and Logan Porter C was DFA'd. Wade Meckler? He remains on the 40-man roster assigned to AAA Sacramento.
