Four Giants batters turned in multi-hit game to back a Quality Start by Landen Roupp as the Giants picked up on the road where they left off at home. Key Lines:
Willy Adames SS- 2 for 5, 2B, HR(2), R, 2 RBI. BA= .273. Adames recorded his 4'th 2-hit game in a row. 6 of those 8 hits went for doubles and he added a HR tonight giving him 7 of 8 hits XBH's over that time.
Luis Arraez 2B- 0 for 3, 2 BB. BA= .302. The 2 walks were just his 3'rd and 4'th of the season.
Matt Chapman 3B- 2 for 4, BB. BA= .315. The three batters at the top of the order reached base 7 times in 15 PA's.
Casey Schmitt DH- 3 for 5, 3 2B, 2 R, RBI. BA= .333. Since the forgettable final game in San Diego on April 1, Schmitt has played in just 3 games but has 7 hits with 4 doubles in 11 AB in those games. He wore out the left fielder with hooking liners down the line that started out far enough right to stay fair. The hits were scalded at 105, 107 and 99 MPH exit velocity.
Jung Hoo Lee RF- 2 for 4, 2B, HR(1), R, 2 RBI. BA= .174. The starting outfielders have scuffled but Lee had a nice game and Heliot Ramos LF got in on the scoring with an RBI single and scored a run.
Landen Roupp RHP- 6 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 4 K, 7/4 GO/AO. ERA= 3.24. Roupp kept the O's off balance all night in a bend but don't break outing.
The Giants improved their record to 6-8. At this writing, they are still in last place, 4 games behind the Dodger. All 4 of the other NL West teams are still playing.
Logan Webb RHP tries to keep the winning going tomorrow against Chris Bassitt RHP.
