The farm system's ranking went up to 18 after starting the season at 28. I know these rankings do not mean much, but I need something to feel good about.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is there’s a ton of very young Dominican prospects on it all of a sudden and those guys are almost all lottery tickets who could be off the list on a a year two due to poor performance. Only Level and Josuar seem like legit prospects.
DeleteFrom a (former) Wade Meckler enthusiast, he is toast.
ReplyDeleteZero HRs in 248 PAs, his only hope would be CF and a not so great Lee is better, and they tried him some at 2B, but Schmitt all but has that nailed down.
In a hitters' domain, Meck has fallen in August to .172/.273/.241 (SSS). Career-wise, he's been fairly good at getting on base and can steal 2nd, but the Giants need RBI guys more than they need OBP guys.
Meckler has "Milwaukee Brewer" written all over him.
