AAA  Fresno Grizzlies mauled he Reno Aces 10-4:

Gary Brown(CF)- 2 for 5.  BA= .263.
Joe Panik(2B)- 2 for 4, 3B, BB.  BA= .329.
Mark Minicozzi(LF)- 2 for 4, HR(2), BB, Assist(home)- BA= .432.
Chris Dominguez(3B)- 2 for 5, 2 HR(7).  BA= .289.
Mike Kickham(LHP)- 5 IP, 10 H, 4 R, 2 BB, 7 K's.  ERA= .289.
Brett Bochy(RHP)- 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K's.  ERA= 2.70.
Heath Hembree(RHP)- 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K.  ERA= 4.34.

Panik is hitting .436 over his last 10 games and .358 for the month of May.  Dominguez is hitting .341 over his last 10 games and slashing .315/.350/.568 for May. Bochy has a 2.12 ERA over his last 10 appearances.  His season line is 2-2, 2.70, 26.2 IP, 11 H, 27 K.  Very good numbers considering the environment.

AA  Richmond Flying Squirrels defeated the Bowie Baysox 6-2:

Matt Duffy- 2 for 4, BB.  BA= .318.
Jarrett Parker(RF)- 2 for 4, HR(5), BB.  BA= .256.
Ricky Oropesa(1B)- 2 for 4, 2B.  BA= .230
Jack Snodgrass(LHP)- 5.1 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 3 K.  BA= 1.93.
Edwin Quirarte(RHP)- 2.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 2.36.

Matt Duffy is hitting .367 for the month of May.  Ricky gets a start at 1B after hitting the walk-off dinger and makes the most of the opportunity.

High A  San Jose Giants edged the Inland Empire 66'ers 2-1:

Antonio Robles(SS)- 3 for 4, 2B, HR(1).  BA= .176.
Joe Kurrasch(LHP)- 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 2 K's.  ERA= 2.22.
Steven Okert(LHP)- 1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K's, Save(15).  ERA= 1.26.

Low A  Lexington Legends beat the Augusta Greenjackets 8-3:

Rando Moreno(SS)- 2 for 5, 2B.  BA= .220.
Ryder Jones(3B)- 2 for 5.  BA= .267.
Rafael Rodriguez(LF)- 2 for 4.  BA= .270.

  1. Between Duffy and Panik, you have to feel good about our middle infielders. Haven't seen Duvall's name--hurt? Will be interesting to see if Gmen do their annual "find another reliever game". Really don't see any place for any mid season trades; the only true weak spot is 2b and as you note Hicks add value over his BA and we have Panik in the wings. On the relievers, Huff isn't doing great, but you've got Runzler and DePaula tee'd up (in addition to Bochy, Hembree, and Dunning). Gotta love Okert's line too, even if he's only in high A.
