ReplyDeleteFeels like the EL juiced the ball a bit this year. I don’t recall any years like this.
ReplyDeleteThe new stadium in Richmond has helped a lot..But so has the talent level percolating up to the top..Hats off to Buster there...Now get Cox and Hill on the MLB roster.!! I.can't think there is much more to see with McCray.

Also I think we have a good idea about the ceiling of Gilbert (and Koss). He can be a good 4th or 5th outfielder. It is time to see others. Give some regular at batts to Furman now that you called him up.
ReplyDeleteNot so sure about Gilbert. I think he is still improving. He may have to settle for a platoon role but a left-hitting platoon CF is a valuable asset.
DeleteAlso, although Christian Koss is likely a utility IF he has shown in the past an ability to improve with increased playing time.
DeleteAnyone know what the status of Dakota Jordan is? He hasn't played in a while, but I can't find any report of an injury.
ReplyDeleteA few weeks ago Richmond papers had him either pulling a hammy or twisting an ankle on the bag when trying to beat out a grounder.. Haven't seen anything since

No cox. Expect a callup?
ReplyDeleteAre the Giants not bringing up any more players not on the 40-man roster because they won't be able to play MiLB if there is a work stoppage in MLB next year?
ReplyDeleteNot sure. I have seen that written but it's my understanding that the minor leaguers are part of the MLBPA now so I would think they would be out too in the even of a work stoppage.
