Massive trade for the Giants and Buster Posey the morning of August 3rd, packaging Luis Arraez up with bullpen arm Caleb Killian - and getting an incredible return of breakout star Ramon Marquez (dominant SP in A+ with an KLB Pipeline FV of 50 and a plus-plus changeup, still only 20 years old) along with bullpen power-arm prospect Marty Gair who can touch 102 and has an absurd 18 K/9 strikeout rate, but has a case of the wild hairs as he's 6'6" and throws with a very violent delivery.
ReplyDeleteBoth pitchers have been breaking out this month, as Marquez finished with a 10k. 1 hit performance in Jersey Shores his final game with them, and Gair took home Phiilies pitcher of the month honors with batters going 1-26 off the kid over the last several weeks, with drastically reduced BB numbers over that span.
Very, very exciting work by Buster and his team.
Ramon Marquez immediately becomes the Giants #2 pitching prospect behind Jackson Flora, easily vaulting Keyner Martinez and Jacob Bresnahan. Man, that was exciting to research and type up!
Cheers all.
