Ryan Vogelsong got roughed up in his 4'th inning of work. Matt Cain worked out of the bullpen and the Giants offense seemed a bit listless in a loss to the Southsiders. Key Lines:
Joaquin Arias- 1 for 3, HR(1). BA= .267.
Brandon Belt- 1 for 3, 3B. BA= .500. If all Belt needs is confidence, he should be building up a ton of it this spring.
Brock Bond- 1 for 3. BA= .500. Bond also made some terrific plays in the field. Once considered a defensive liability, Bond has sparkled in the field by all reports I've read from spring training.
Ryan Vogelsong- 3 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 3 K's. ERA= 3.38. Vogie allowed all of his runs, 2 of his hits and his only walk in the 4'th inning without retiring a batter. He left the game with 1 run in and 2 runners on base.
Josh Osich- 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 0 K. I think this was Osich's first appearance of the spring. The hit he allowed was a 3 run dinger to DeWayne Wise which drove in Vogie's 2 runners.
Matt Cain- 3 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 1 K. ERA= 6.43. Cainer might not have been entirely comfortable coming out of the bullpen. He allowed his 2 runs in his first inning of work before settling down.
George Kontos- 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K. ERA= 2.25. Kontos would seem to be solidifying his roster spot.

After pitching so well in 2012, I don't see how Kontos didn't have a spot except by totally blowing chunks. Mijares to me was the biggest questionable hold on a roster spot.
