I forgot to tune into the free game of the day on Bally Sports but my friend who did said the Ports hitters looked overmatched against Jackson Flora.
I watched a clip of Jackson Flora striking out the last batter he faced. He then tipped his hat and “strutted” of the field like he owned it. Looks like a very confident guy.
ReplyDeleteThe last batter Jackson struck out was the "beer batter" and by striking him out the fans in the stands were able to purchase 1/2 price beer for the next inning. According to an article by Andrew Baggerly, the crowd was chanting "strike him out" and cheered loudly when he did so. Apparently, he acknowledged their chant as he walked off the field by tipping his cap. APGiantsfan
ReplyDeleteOk - makes sense- I thought the hat tip was a bit much for only pitching two innings.
DeleteAgreed. Thanks for the down-low AP.
DeleteNice to see 2026 draft picks Flora, Bonds and Smith playing well in SJ and it’s even better that they are getting the chance to experience the postseason. Looking forward to them starting 2027 in Eugene, and moving up to AA at some point (a realistic possibility for Flora)
