Cats had just one XBH out of 14 hits. Bryce Eldridge is sure acting like he wants to get called up and soon. Sam Hentges pitched two days in a row which is usually the final box to be checked for relievers on rehab assignments. Look for him to be activated on Monday at the start of the Giants next homestand. Ryan Borucki is the obvious guy to go.

DeleteIn the first game of the double header, Richmond tried to get one more inning out of Trystan Vrieling and it blew up with the relief (Manuel Mercedes) allowing 3 runs with 2 outs after an error.
ReplyDeleteFlying Squirrels should have won both games and Vrieling would have looked a whole lot better. Too bad Pelfry brought in the wrong reliever with a 8.31 ERA and the tying runs on base.
Grant McCray has really picked up his game the last week including a nice game Saturday afternoon (in progress) — can he sustain it?
