Any idea how many prospects get promoted out of the DSL to the US?
ReplyDeleteWith players as young as 16 (Miguel Caraballo for instance), how many years will they be able to play in the DSL.
How much do they get paid in the DR?
Do they all get signing bonuses?
Midseason promotions from the DSL to Arizona are rare but have occurred. There is no limit to how long international players can stay in the DSL but if they stay down there longer than two years it's generally not a good sign for their future success as a prospect. I am sure there are prospects in the DSL camp who sign without bonuses and many who only get a few thousand dollars.
