  1. Tibbs and Davidson are less than 3 months apart but one is a 1st round pick and the other is an undrafted Free Agent.
One went to Florida State University (hmmm, didn't another 1st rounder come from there?), the other was from Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute.
    Pedigree counts more than performance.
Maybe they'll both spend some time in Eugene next year, unless Tibbs is "rushed" up to Richmond.

    1. I am rooting hard for Bo Davidson, and yes, I considered naming him as the runner up top prospect. Knowing what we know now, I wonder if there may have been some "suggestions" from ownership regarding the Giants first round draft pick this year?

  2. A playoff side note: Starting pitchers in NYC today (Monday) are Carlos Rodon and Alex Cobb...

    1. And Sean Manaea is starting for the NY Mets but in LA.
Now, if the Giants had kept those 3 @ close to $52M for 2024 instead of Snell, Hicks, and Ray @ close to $62M ...

  4. What Charlie Szykowny can or cannot do will come into sharp focus in 2025.
At 24 yo, waaaay too old for A ball, he was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious with San Jose, then had some reckoning in A+.
    Which is he?
Another shot @ A+ to get some feel, then a promotion to A+?
