  1. Tyler Fitzgerald CF-SS was "only" 1-3 with 2 walks. He's all but sewn up a roster spot (Rule 5 protection), hasn't he?
Aside for Joey Bart, all the River Cats (who played yesterday) have OPS .800 and above, Brooks and Alvarez are above .900, and Meckler (2-5 , 1 R, 1 RBI) is 1.032...
Brooks and Alvarez are Rule 5.
Sac's team OPS is .793, 9th out of 10 in the PCL, 9th out of 10 in most team batting statistics – are they playing the wrong guys?
Avila (6' 4", 195#) got his 3rd Save in 3 Save Opportunities to go along with his 14-0 record. He was Rule 5 last year and taken by CWS but returned.
Is he a Giant now with options and cannot be taken again?
Giants were foolish to have brought Meckler up – now they have to protect him.
Although fans question a lot of moves, that WAS a Zaidi Error.

    1. Avila has to be added to the 40-man roster or be exposed to the Rule 5 draft all over again. It's not all that uncommon for guys to be drafted multiple times

    2. Agree Meck was rushed up and that's not looking so good now even if you believe he is a future major leaguer.

    3. There are quite a few PCL teams that play in extreme hitter-friendly environments: Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, El Paso
