Tim Hudson was sharp in his spring debut and the Giants lineup peppered the field with 9 singles and 3 doubles for win over division rival D'Backs in Scottsdale. Key Lines:
Angel Pagan, Buster Posey, Joaquin Arias, Juan Perez- 2 for 3.
Pablo Sandoval- 1 for 2, BB.
Hector Sanchez- 1 for 2. The Hector drove in 2 big runs with his base hit to cap a 4 run 5'th inning. He also took some grounders at 2B. LOL!
Juan Perez, Gregor Blanco, Brandon Hicks- 2B
Tim Hudson- 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K. Huddy had a nervous moment when he couldn't get a handle on a feed from Brandon Belt covering first. He then got the job done covering on a DP then very next batter.
Mike Kickham gets a start in an early B game tomorrow morning against the Cubs with Kyle Crick and Jeremy Affeldt also scheduled to pitch. Tim Lincecum makes his spring debut facing the Padres in the afternoon.

Doc, I have a little present for you. I made a comment not that long ago about Eric Surkamp winding up on the White Sox top 20. I give you Eric Surkamp at #17 for CHW:

Other than that, I hope you enjoyed the play this weekend. How did you like Duvall leaving his throw short of Belt to end the game? He can crush the ball all he wants, but...
Anybody can put anybody on a top prospect list. At this point, Surkamp is post-prospect looking for a place to hook on. Hope it works out for him.
DeleteI would add that Sickels himself said that when he got to #17, he kind of just picked some random guys out of the hat to get to 20, so at least your point about how weak the White Sox system is might be valid.
