  1. Luciano has a lot of walks to go with those 16 home runs in less than 300 at bats. Wouldn’t call him up this season OBVIOUSLY but he seems to me like a guy who in a couple of years could potentially be something in the majors. The power and walks as a 23 year old in AAA is impressive

  2. Croes is fun wildcard. Out of Aruba, undrafted out of a small college. Couple years Indy ball (American Association) where he hit around .350. A little old for high A. Checking his Baseball Ref Page, he hits .350 everywhere. LOL. I guess if he can pull that off in Richmond, he'll open some eyes.

  3. Last week's record for the four minor league affiliates? 21-3.
From a system that's been sub .500 for the year. Try to figure that one out.
This game is so chock full of statistics and analysis to predict who will win, who will lose, who are the best players etc,; and yet sometimes it just feels like all the statistics could be thrown out the window. Especially when the games' outcomes seem to hinge more on "in-game failures" than on "in-game successes" (e.g.: Giants games of the last month).
And yet...... been a Giants fan since the '62 World Series, and will listen or watch every day again this year (and follow the minor leaguers)... until, like the song says, "just can't take it no more".
Thank you for the Site, Doc.

  4. Unnoticed in the River Cats pyro stats: Luciano had 7 RBIs.
His slash line for July: .389/.560/1.111/1.671!
