Now that's what I'm talking about!  Josh Bostick has the tools to be a MLB SP if he can consistently command his pitches.  Over his last two starts he's allowed 0 ER in 11 IP with 19 K's and 4 BB's.  Tibbs continues his power surge with his 6'th HR in his last 10 games.

A:  Inland Empire 66'ers outscored the San Jose Giants 8-6.

Dakota Jordan CF- 3 for 5, HR(3).  BA= .309.
Drew Cavanaugh DH- 1 for 4, HR(6).  BA= .302.

The complex leagues had their usual Sunday off.

  1. Any speculation on the future of Lonsway? Lefties with big hooks sometimes develop later, don’t they?

    1. Lonsway has always had the stuff. His control/command has always been inconsistent. His numbers are better this year in pitcher- friendly environment, but he's running out of time to put it all together.

  3. Northwest League is certainly interesting: 4 teams are within 1½ games of 1st place and the entire league of 6 teams is only separated by 3.0 games.

In the California League, San Jose Giants @ 30-21 have won 8 of their last 10 leaving them 3 games out. Cavanaugh has 6 HRs, a triple, and 5 doubles in 86 ABs with an OPS of 1.039, team has 6 players above .800 OPS.
SJ Giants opening an interesting series this week in Rancho Cucamonga to play the California League leaders.

    1. Drew Cavanaugh's entire 3-yeat pro career with the Giants has been bouncing back and forth from San Jose to Sacramento and back to San Jose.
      That's a bit strange, isn't it?
