"When the Giants Come to Town..." is my blog intended to chronicle my thoughts on San Francisco Giants baseball. My special interest is in prospects and the farm system, but of course, will comment on all aspects of the San Francisco Giants. I will also comment on baseball in general, particularly from a fantasy baseball perspective. I hope you will find the site informative, and invite you to join in the discussion.

Scouting the 2020 Draft: Slade Cecconi
Slade Cecconi RHP, College(Miami). 6'4", 220 lbs.
5-4, 4.16, 80 IP, 18 BB, 89 K.
Slade Cecconi was a highly regarded HS prospect in the 2018 draft cycle whose stocked dropped due to a reported oblique injury. Although he pitched very well for Miami his freshman campaign, his velocity was down in the low 90's. Word is he worked out this summer and was getting it up to 99 MPH this fall. He's a draft eligible sophomore who could move way up draft boards if he maintains velocity and has a big sophomore season. He's got a classic pitcher's build with a low-moderate effort delivery.
