"When the Giants Come to Town..." is my blog intended to chronicle my thoughts on San Francisco Giants baseball. My special interest is in prospects and the farm system, but of course, will comment on all aspects of the San Francisco Giants. I will also comment on baseball in general, particularly from a fantasy baseball perspective. I hope you will find the site informative, and invite you to join in the discussion.

Scouting the 2020 Draft: Justin Foscue
Justin Foscue 2B/3B, College(Mississippi St). B-R, T-R. 6'0", 205 lbs.
2018: .241/.332/.353, 12 2B, 3 HR, 22 BB, 22 K, 187 AB.
2019: .331/.395/.564, 22 2B, 14 HR, 30 BB, 32 K, 275 AB.
Team USA: .255/.288/.362.
Justin Foscue had a terrific offensive season for Mississippi St while splitting his defensive games evenly between 2B and 3B. He's a thick bodied and limbed player who is strong enough to generate power without selling out. There's a video of him taking batting practice in shorts. His legs look like tree trunks and his arms like large but short branches! The Dan Uggla comps are inevitable. Some team could take him in the top 50 if they believe enough in the bat. It seems highly unlikely that he will ever be a defensive asset.
