"When the Giants Come to Town..." is my blog intended to chronicle my thoughts on San Francisco Giants baseball. My special interest is in prospects and the farm system, but of course, will comment on all aspects of the San Francisco Giants. I will also comment on baseball in general, particularly from a fantasy baseball perspective. I hope you will find the site informative, and invite you to join in the discussion.

Scouting the 2020 Draft: Cam Brown
Cam Brown RHP, HS. 6'3", 210 lbs.
Classic big, strong Texas HS RHP. Not a lot of info out there on him as he only started to hit scouting radars this summer. On videos he is large framed with very muscular physique, especially in buttocks and upper legs. Drop and drive with a low 3/4 delivery that gets close to sidearm at times. Reports have the FB ranging from low 90's to 96. Backs that up with a slurvy breaking ball and a decent changeup that can get better. Looks like a solid choice for competitive balance round pick or early 2'nd round. Will that be enough to get him away from a TCU commit?
