"When the Giants Come to Town..." is my blog intended to chronicle my thoughts on San Francisco Giants baseball. My special interest is in prospects and the farm system, but of course, will comment on all aspects of the San Francisco Giants. I will also comment on baseball in general, particularly from a fantasy baseball perspective. I hope you will find the site informative, and invite you to join in the discussion.

Around the League: 05-06-2010
With the win last night, the Giants have the best record in the NL by percentage points over St. Louis. San Diego and Colorado were idle with the Padres falling 0.5 games back at 17-11. Colorado stayed at 14-14 in third place. Arizona beat Houston 6-3 and improved their record to 14-15 4 games off the pace. The Dodgers got a great start from John Ely. Jonathan Broxton blew the save in the top of the 9'th inning, but then Andre Ethier hit a walk-off grand slam to beat the Brewers 7-3. LA now sits at 12-16, 5.5 games behind the Giants.
