Lots of questions regarding assignments for new draftees and promotions of players to make room. One complicating factor is the ACL season ends at the end of July which means if the new draftees are probably mostly have to be assigned to A San Jose. If you add in ACL players who might benefit from a late season promotion to A ball and you have quite the logjam. Yes, some San Jose players could be promoted to A+ and on up the ladder but that would probably require more releases from higher levels. It will be interesting how it all sorts out.

How encouraged should we be with how well these 3 teams, plus SJG, are doing?
ReplyDeleteAre these 4 teams exceptional because they of "broad strength" or are there a significant number of truly outstanding individuals?
Do you view the future as bright or just "containing" (meaning the longer term contributions by the young players are wide, not a "high" number of individual studs)?
It's good for minor league teams to have a winning record but beyond that I pay close to zero attention to whether the team won or lost. It's now individual players perform and whether they are really prospects or not. The reason I started posting ages in the stat lines for these lower level teams is to try to give some of that perspective to the readers(younger is generally better).
