  1. McCray is just way too inconsistent. He did this last year too, running extremely cold for a lot of the year to start then getting hot half way through. This won’t play in the majors. He’s going to continue to be overwhelmed in the majors

  2. This Giants minor league system version 2026 can rake. Every day I look at this recaps and you see 7, 10, 7, 12 runs scored. Buster will need to sell off pieces of the disappointing Major League roster to improve the system pitching quality and depth, but I'm fairly convinced a lot of quality hitters are on the horizon,

  3. i agree about McCray. as an impartial observer, it's sort of interesting as to why a hitter such as McCray has spells where he can see the ball and hit the ball and then poof, it's gone. those who seem to know talk about a hold in his strike zone swing, same with Eldridge, though he has proven himself better at every level. still, the hole in the zone is often hard to fix, or so i've read and been told. i had this goofy thought, that, like in english soccer, you could sell a player for, say, a year and the Giants sold Eldridge to the Japanese Giants to offer him a different look - cause reps at the west coast AAA seem to provide only so much of a challenge. then again, there are many, many a player that are fundamentally AAAA players... -es

    1. Not such a crazy idea. There are several stories of American players who go to Japan and learn plate discipline/how to hit breaking balls and other skills that enable them to come back and play at a higher level.
