  1. Jonah Cox is now at 136 PAs and still hitting .420 at AA Richmond. I don't know what to say.

  2. It's good to see Whitman have a string of good pitching.
The San Jose bull pen has blown a lot of leads in the late innings. They have lost at least six games this year.

  3. With a 5-1 lead going into the 8th, Round Rock relief pitcher strikes out 2 and gets a ground out back to him, then blows up in the 9th: 4 singles to 4 batters. His relief gives up a single, sac-fly (RF drops the ball), and a 3-run double to complete the scoring, tying run plus 2 score.
Sac take 5 of 6 on the road, losing just a game they led in the 8th 5-1. Yesterday's game was payback in spades!

  4. Jonah cox wow. Still don’t expect him to keep it up but never expected this to begin with. Baseball is cruel and he could still end up having a poor season in the end if he has the dreaded long AA slump. But wow. Will it be enough to get him on the giants top 30 list on MLB.com when that comes out? They updated their top 100 list and Giants have 4 players in the top 64.

    1. Yeah, this feels different this year, the farm. Not just dropping 4 guys in the Top 100 (Bryce, Level, Josuar & Luis)...but the other pieces making a little noise. Jonah, ffs! Where did that come from???

Parks Harbor, Jesus Rodriguez, Blade, Dakota & Bo. Just feels like we've got some momentum (Along with the 4th pick), and maybe they'll really earn a Top 10 spot for the org this year.

    1. No Jonah Cox is 24 which is definitely not too old for AA. Obviously would like to see him in AAA by the end of the year. No one is calling him a top prospect for us or saying he’s the future. We are all just marveling over what he is doing because his numbers are insane and obviously it’s highly unlikely that he’s going to keep it up. But if he does hit over .300 for a full year including playing a few months in AAA, where would he place on a top 30 prospect list if he did that? He’s shown to be an intriguing prospect with dynamic elite speed, decent but inconsistent hit tool with the ability to draw walks and hit more home runs than you’d expect. Former 6th round pick and he was once a top 30 prospect for us for at least a year after we acquired him from the A’s

    2. Cox is an interesting prospect. With the Giants OF situation quite unsettled and particularly CF, he is getting close enough to the majors to have a real opportunity open up at some point. Very interesting tool and skill sets. I think that's about all we can say right now.
