Drew Gilbert with a busy batting line. I like busy batting lines.

The Legend of Jhonny Level continues to grow. After 4 seasons on the DSL, Ricardo Estrada has pitched well this season for the ACL and San Jose Giants. He is 23 yo and Rule 5 Draft eligible with low risk of being selected.
The DSL was idle.
Since June 20th, Richmond has a winning record, a couple games (+/-) over .500.
ReplyDeleteWith the graduates from A+ contributing (will there be more?), it would be a worthy accomplishment if they could stay above, currently 18-16 in 2nd place for the second half in the Eastern League South.
Well done after such a bad start, 21-26 in the first half for last place.
21-26 should have been 35-58 in the 1st half
DeleteDoc, if El Dridge continues his AAA tear, do you think they will give him a call up in September for a cup of coffee?
ReplyDeleteI am sure there is growing pressure to see if Eldridge might be ready to make an impact at the MLB level next season. The other consideration is whether adding him to the 40-man roster just add to the current logjam?
DeleteThere are two logjams which Eldridge would face if he is called up. I'm not sure if he will get much playing time with Devers, Flores, Smith and Schmitt at 1B/DH and he also will be part of the 40 man roster logjam. This situation could change because of injuries (Encarnacion to the 60 day IL?) or Flores (day to day for now).
