It's progress from some of his starts, but I think we are all hoping for more. He's still very young and it's a learning experience. Hopefully these struggles will make him stronger in the long run.DrBGiantsfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10699322384438591979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-86404337510393698052014-06-02T10:32:49.454-07:002014-06-02T10:32:49.454-07:00Definitely a step in the right direction. Crick is...Definitely a step in the right direction. Crick isn't one to ever allow a lot of hits though. He did throw 99 pitches over those 5.2 IP, so that leads me to believe he still wasn't completely crisp. If he wants to come out next time and put up the exact same line, you'll hear no complaints from me... But we do know he has the potential for so much more. But he still looks to me like a guy who can play every day at 2B and not embarrass himself at the plate. If he can put the ball in play and work a walk now and then, he'll be fine as a 7 or 8-hitter. I really like how he's bounced back this year, and think he's right on schedule for an MLB look next spring.

The San Jose relievers are starting to return to form (Okert, McVay, Mizenko)... McVay has been very impressive this month. Other than Biagini and Kurrasch, it's still been pretty rough for that starting staff though.

Crick is making progress, but what a rollercoaster it's been the first couple months. I think that is an impressive start and one of his best this season.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-91692635262419858702014-06-02T09:39:15.017-07:002014-06-02T09:39:15.017-07:00A pretty good day for many of our farmhands.
