I would rank him as the top OF prospect in the system by a pretty big margin right now.

I have been posting about the draft since the beginning of the offseason. If you go look in the Blog Archive to the left, you will find profiles of most of the top prospects in the draft throughout the offseason. More recently I have posted comments on various mock drafts. I will probably post at least one more draft article before the draft.

You also may want to check out Covechatter's draft stuff. I would say he and I mostly agree on who we like and who we think the Giants might draft. Shankbone has some good stuff on his You Gotta Like These Kids site.

You also may want to check out the Giants related stuff on Minor League Ball's recent Community Mock Draft. I'll say if the Giants come away with a top 3 of Justin Hooper, Nolan Watson and Mikey White, I will have no complaints.

I like Happ too. I think he may well be gone by the time the Giants pick at #18.DrBGiantsfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10699322384438591979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-17374227813410683132015-06-03T12:43:01.666-07:002015-06-03T12:43:01.666-07:00Hey doc,

You feeling good about him or more tempered?

Don't know if you've run a draft special yet, but what are your hopes and anticipations?

Ian Happ seems like a good get to me if he's available. I'd gladly see them grab James Kaprielian who's more likely to be available. 18 & 31, so should be some intrigue, I hope one of them is a fast riser.Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08483153782366187271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-71612748653345149092015-06-03T12:19:40.474-07:002015-06-03T12:19:40.474-07:00The most frustrating thing about this toe-stubbing...The most frustrating thing about this toe-stubbing against the Pirates is they're just mid-pack on offense. But the few days half of them looked like they were channeling their inner Willie Stargell.

MosesZDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12702323080585738748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-52692536355396996722015-06-03T00:36:26.205-07:002015-06-03T00:36:26.205-07:00McCutchen would make an awesome Giant. 2005 wasn&#...McCutchen would make an awesome Giant. 2005 wasn't their best draft, aside from Romo.

When's the last time the Giants even drafted a 5 tool stud OF type that looked complete out of the box? Maybe Sabean's in the field right now ready to stock the farm with 'em before he rides off into the sunset.

My only concern with the last few games is that the Giants were getting blatantly formulaic in their approach. Aggressive on the 1st pitch, and the 2 strikes and 2 out thunder...easy to scout the patterns in how they approach certain situations.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-17511469670780214912015-06-03T00:25:00.522-07:002015-06-03T00:25:00.522-07:00it all begins and ends with starting pitching
tha...it all begins and ends with starting pitching

that and the giants have just not been able to put away the opposing pitcher when they have him on the ropes

if craw keeps up this pace through june, he is a shoe in for the as team, even if he doesnt get the vote from the fans (thanks to the national media totally ignoring what he is doing)

and doc, you were right...beede got the bump today...so you were smart going to watch him when you did

in other news....mcclendon had an epic meltdown in seattle tonite.....with replay, i didnt think he would ever get one in...but he figured out a way....he is always good for one a season

bacciAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
