He has only had 3 HORRID outings that have destroyed pretty much all his numbers. Remove those three outings and he is actually almost dominant.calsnowskierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02746266404646821133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-32407455951890374232016-05-20T15:22:57.164-07:002016-05-20T15:22:57.164-07:00IMHO, I think there is room for both in the show, ...IMHO, I think there is room for both in the show, but I'm struggling with my HO.

Parker clearly has pop and has done so in the show and all along his path there. His struggles with K rate and when he's off (usually way off), good enough for a regular spot? Pretty much his 3rd year AAA, 2400 ABs, he should be doing well. Once they have film on him will he hit rockets or just rock a high K rate? Not knocking them, but his blasts last year came against a lame Zito and AAA pitchers.

Williamson has been pretty solid all his minors. Equal pop, better BA and far fewer Ks. Only half, 1200 pro at-bats. 1st year 100% back from TJ. He has struggled in the show, but if you are just looking at this year on Giants, his at-bats came in the same time period when the team was struggling to get any offense going, any hits. He didn't hit either. Like all hitters, he slumps and has been doing so since just before the 2nd call-up. He's usually bounced back in a big way until the finish. He clearly needs regular playing time, getting up after two cold hours on the bench hasn't panned out.

Their call-ups were eerily similar, both K'd with bases loaded in crucial at-bats. Neither were productive in their very small samples, but Williamson did hit a few bullets when he played a full game.

Only time will tell, but not sure a month or two is a good benchmark vesus full seasons. But heck, both are exciting when locked in. I like 'em both.

GAgiantAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-69189287051749138162016-05-20T10:49:56.832-07:002016-05-20T10:49:56.832-07:00My Goodness, what to make of Jarrett Parker...
To...My Goodness, what to make of Jarrett Parker...

To start the season, in his first 22 games at Sacramento, he did this ...

AB 82
K 33 (40%)
BB 11
H 17
2B 2
HR 6
RBI 17
AVG .212

In his last 10 games at Sacramento (he spent 4 game with the big club in the midst of that), he has done this..

AB 40
K 6 (15%)
BB 2
H 16
2B 2
HR 7
RBI 10
AVG .400

He now leads the PCL in HR (13). He has raised his AVG from .212 to .270 in his last 10 games.

And he is doing all this in AAA. Streaky? Perhaps. But his streaks are something to see. I am not so sure Mac Williamson is still the one to watch as future replacement for Angel Pagan.kar120chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09226062493955524666noreply@blogger.com
