He made his MLB debut with Arizona last year, posting a sky-high 13k/9 and equally sky-high 5bb/9 in 27 innings. I don't know anything else about him, but I'll bet we hear his name in spring training.

Cove ChatterAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-84132326042240316552015-11-28T12:29:50.026-08:002015-11-28T12:29:50.026-08:00Oh, best of luck to him, and all the others relea...Oh, best of luck to him, and all the others released.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01109660807154221776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-57912100894423678562015-11-28T12:29:00.081-08:002015-11-28T12:29:00.081-08:00Sorry, hit a wrong button. Well, he had the 5'th highest UZR/150 of all qualified CF's last year and the 9'th highest among those with at least 300 PA's. I don't know how much better or more recent you have to be to be "excellent."DrBGiantsfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10699322384438591979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-88267190859181650712015-11-28T12:17:01.552-08:002015-11-28T12:17:01.552-08:00Most likely because there are too many other prosp...Most likely because there are too many other prospects who the Giants like better and there just wasn't going to be a place for him at a higher level. The Giants farm system really is packed with strong pitching prospects.

Also, they did try him in the Cal League last year and he bombed.DrBGiantsfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10699322384438591979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-61184337931794843482015-11-28T12:09:33.832-08:002015-11-28T12:09:33.832-08:00Soooo, apparently he has progressed looking at hi...Soooo, apparently he has progressed looking at his stats, why would he not be given a shot at higher level?
