I like what I've seen so far in MLB games. Like most prospects, he needs some reps at the MLB level to really see what he's got. Like all tall guys, he's going to struggle to control his strike zone.

Speaking of which. The other day, it looked to me like Brandon Belt has moved 2 inches closer to home plate instead of 2 inches farther back. I see his plate crowding as a bigger problem than his wrapping. He could be 4 inches farther off the plate and still get excellent coverage of the outer half while giving him some room on the inner half. He's having to pull his arms in the get the head of the bat on pitches down the middle!!DrBGiantsfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10699322384438591979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-72430353414041523282013-08-27T14:49:49.919-07:002013-08-27T14:49:49.919-07:00There's also Luis Cruz and Dylan Cease. If I didn't know any better I would think he's easing off and throwing at about 75% effort, his delivery is that smooth. In fact, I bet he'd easily gain a few points on his fastball to around 92-94 (from his typical 89-91) if he maxed out a little more often.

~APAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-89799919886689833942013-08-27T14:27:14.515-07:002013-08-27T14:27:14.515-07:00True, and I also liked Kieschnick a lot in the low...True, and I also liked Kieschnick a lot in the lower minors and had high hopes for him...But, his performance in The PCL and what I have seen in the Majors leave me unimpressed...I hope I don't see the same with MAC in a few years

SteveVAAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-45157787678105545952013-08-27T13:50:30.775-07:002013-08-27T13:50:30.775-07:00Arias looks like he can play outfield as well.
