There are plenty of spots being held by non-prospects in Richmond, so nothing is holding these guys back except their own clocks.

I am excited to see these kids see stiffer competition, but it is still VERY early in the season...calsnowskierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02746266404646821133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-24463492747872973782013-04-27T22:56:00.806-07:002013-04-27T22:56:00.806-07:00We need some of that A ball pitching to move up. Crick, Blackburn, Meja and Escobar are almost a full pitching staff. And then you add the rest of the guys between high (Marlowe) and the other guys at lower A? That's just sick.

PiLamBearAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-86124111182831744442013-04-27T12:37:06.623-07:002013-04-27T12:37:06.623-07:00Agreed. Lots to be encouraged about there.Lylenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-35812187776885572932013-04-27T08:23:54.061-07:002013-04-27T08:23:54.061-07:00I've noticed they are mainly batting Susac in ...I've noticed they are mainly batting Susac in the 7 spot. You think that's to keep the pressure off of him so he can concentrate on catching? He'll lag behind in the PAs amongst the regulars because of days off but in 57 ABs he's holding a 281/379/491 line, which is quite nice. The SLG is fueled by that 2 HR game he had in the small sample size early going.Shankbonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04803824507120403397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-91397809223553218102013-04-27T08:09:57.534-07:002013-04-27T08:09:57.534-07:00Delfino hits the first HR of the year for Augusta!...Delfino hits the first HR of the year for Augusta! Last team in baseball to hit one on the season. Glad to see Houck back in the lineup. Duffy has been the standout so far, and I think I'd have to say Hollick has been the standout on the other end of the spectrum.

That pitching staff is pretty amazing in the early going. Johnson and Mizenko are a great 1-2, not a single run allowed from each. Derek Law has one allowed. They've slammed the door with 10 saves between the 3, Mizenko getting 6. Their WHIPS are miniscule and they all have great K #s. Law has 22K in 15 IP. McVay has 15 in 12, and has only allowed 9 baserunners (a HR accounts for a lot of his "blemish" on his ERA).

Amazing pitching staff in the early going. Great to see Flores re-establish his prospect creds. Stratton-Agosta-Gregorio is a helluva 1-2-3 and this Biagini character has a 15K/15IP going along with a sub 1.0 WHIP as well.Shankbonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04803824507120403397noreply@blogger.com
