No...The Giants Way evolves...Aggressive Promotions<br /><br />Now if you have learned a skill at one level, up you go. Prove it at the next. This seems to be a system-wide trend from the DSL to AAA. <br /><br />I think this fits really well with the Giants draft position and farm system - No Top 50 talent, but lots of mid-level breakout potential talent. Too much potential talent wait around while their clock ticks and too much talent to stash on the 40 Man (see relief pitchers). Where do you fit all the mid-level talent? You don't. You aggressively promote to identify the players with breakout skills and sit on the rest. Slower developers will sit/repeat at level and fast movers, even with just one MLB skill, will be identified and moved up quickly. I think this fits with how the Giants are testing out pitchers as both starters and relievers from short season on up. Identify the MLB skill and move them up.<br /><br />Thoughts on this trend...
