More likely a setup arm than future closer, but had a decent shot at a significant MLB career.DrBGiantsfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10699322384438591979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-85843799483057730982015-09-06T05:54:32.238-07:002015-09-06T05:54:32.238-07:00Thank you. But the only two take-aways on Slania was that made the A+ All-Star team as a reliever. And in the reliever pre-season preview, after going on paragraph after paragraph about Ray Black we got this:<br /><br /><i>"Slania attended the University of Notre Dame where he holds the school record for career saves (30). He should get his first taste of the California League to open the 2015 season."</i>MosesZDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12702323080585738748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-35250506233378046782015-09-05T12:04:46.334-07:002015-09-05T12:04:46.334-07:00BTW, Clayton Blackburn, another pitcher ticketed f...BTW, Clayton Blackburn, another pitcher ticketed for the Arizona Fall League, made #14 on BA's Prospect Hot Sheet, that that it means much in the long run.DrBGiantsfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10699322384438591979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-5100298367802628372015-09-05T08:59:29.037-07:002015-09-05T08:59:29.037-07:00Slania was the primary closer for SJ this season a...Slania was the primary closer for SJ this season and pitched well. I saw him in person once and came away impressed. He was something like a 4'th or 5'th round draft pick. I think the Giants do think highly of him.DrBGiantsfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10699322384438591979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7389427040394111033.post-67502351839932266112015-09-05T07:40:26.219-07:002015-09-05T07:40:26.219-07:00I was looking at the Winter League roster. Is he moving up in the organization, or is this just a 'filler' assignment?MosesZDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12702323080585738748noreply@blogger.com
