    1. We've mentioned him before. 13'th round draft pick out of Univ. of Texas. ERA is not exciting but he's had some high K appearances.

  2. Gregory Santos SS or Ghordy Santos?
    Gregory is the pitcher, no?

Logan Webb is humming -- better suited as a reliever than a starter? He was out for an extended period last year -- what was his problem?

Broadcast guys last night expect Gillaspie to be back with the Giants in September. Another LHB. Is Miguel Gómez going to be out for a while?

I'd like to see Posey playing 1B (this year) with Hundley and Fedex doing the catching.

How about a little Buster @ 3B -- he once was a SS. His lack of fast-a-foot would incline more to 3B than short.

Will Sandoval's ability to hit RH never come back? It was pretty good when he came up -- did he lose something or did the the pitchers catch up with him?

    1. Ghordy. Sigh!

I believe Logan Webb had TJ surgery. Giants are bringing him back slowly. I expect to see him try a starting role again next season.

I'd be willing to bet quite a bit that Buster will not be moving to 3B, ever.

I believe Sandoval's ability to hit RH is compromised by chronic shoulder injuries. Dombrowski mentioned it in his postmortem on Pablo's Red Sox tenure.

    2. What's Buster's aversion to 3rd? It seems a natural for a C (with a bullet arm). Otherwise, 1st.
Sandoval is a natural LH, I am told, although he didn't look like it on the throw to 1st from his knees. Just what the Giants need, another LHB 3Bman! Although I'd just as soon see him as Gillaspie.

  3. Both Martin Agosta and Logan Webb had Tommy John surgery a while back according to the Bing-Blurb I read.

Sandoval's RH swing started to decline even as a Giant. It's gotten much worse since he left. According to one article I read on Fox he was the worst RH batter in the majors from the start of 2013 through early 2015 when the article was written. Also in 2015 he took the worst bad-ball cut in MLB swinging at a ball a full foot-and-a-half outside. There's a GIF of it at FanGraphs:

It's funny as heck. THough he doesn't fall down and his belt doesn't break.

  4. Sad days ahead for the Giants. Very disappointing results from Evans' and Barr's efforts.

Not a big fan of either nor do I hold a lot of hope they will somehow miraculously get better.
